If you live in Western Australia I have bought these products in specialty stores – such as the Re Store, in Leederville. If you have only just found out about a Dairy allergy but your little one is too young for chocolate you could bookmark this site in preparation for next years Easter!
Enjoying Easter with a Dairy Allergy
I know it might seem difficult and you don’t want your child to miss out, but it can be done! Here are some suggestions for a wonderful dairy free easter:
- Easter egg hunt with plastic Easter eggs – you can buy these in craft stores and Target (I just checked!) and hide lollies or stickers inside.
- Polystyrene Easter Eggs – for painting and decorating! (available at craft stores)
- Make it not about Chocolate! – I have started to buy my boys new pajamas and ugg boots to signal the change of season. Easter hunting in new ugg boots is fun!
- Get creative and check out Pinterest for recipes, activities and non-dairy gift ideas.
If you have any other suggestions I would love to hear what you have done. Please share your ideas so that other’s can enjoy Easter with their children without the worry and pressure of buying chocolate 🙂
